New Atletico Madrid signing Luciano Vietto is ‘honoured’ by comparisons between him and fellow Argentine Sergio Aguero.
Aguero, who is now at Manchester City, plied his trade with the Rojiblancos from 2006-11 before moving to the Premier League side.
“It’s an honour that they compare me with Kun (Aguero) and hopefully I can do as well for Atletico Madrid as he did because he is a great player,” Vietto said in his first interview as a Vicente Calderon player.
“I am very happy to be at Atleti and I want to work hard in order to achieve a lot of success with this team.”
The 21-year-old is today taking part in his first training session with his new club.
