Madrid planning Casillas send-off

Real Madrid are said to be planning an official send-off at Santiago Bernabeu for goalkeeping legend Iker Casillas.

The 34-year-old has been at Los Blancos for his entire career but will is set for a move to Porto on a free transfer.

Only the final details remain before the shot-stopper agrees a deal to leave his boyhood club, but Marca report that Madrid want to give him the send-off he deserves.

“We don’t want it to be a goodbye, more a see you later, because the doors at Real Madrid will always be open to Iker Casillas,” a Madrid official stated.

According to the report, Los Blancos want Casillas to be accompanied by club President Florentino Perez, members of his family and his teammates as he officially departs the 10-time European champions in ceremonial fashion.
