‘Madrid and Porto agree Casillas deal’

Real Madrid and Porto are reported to have reached an agreement that would see Iker Casillas move to the Portuguese side.

According to reports in the Spanish media this afternoon, official confirmation that the 34-year-old is leaving Santiago Bernabeu could come in the next few hours.

Casillas was widely reported to have agreed to join the Dragoes earlier in the week, though there was still some doubt as to how much of a pay-cut he would have to accept.

With the shot-stopper still bound to Los Blancos by two years remaining on his contract, it was rumoured that the Spanish giants would have to continue paying a large percentage of Casillas’ wages in order for the transfer to happen.

However, it would appear that all potential problems have now been resolved, with Casillas set to complete his move to his new club.
