David de Gea has refused to comment on speculation linking him with Real Madrid other than “I have to go back to Manchester for pre-season”.
The Manchester United goalkeeper told reporters on Friday that his recent trip to the Spanish capital was nothing more than a holiday, despite rumours of a move to Los Blancos continuing to do the rounds.
“Will I join Real Madrid? I have to go back to Manchester for pre-season. I’m calm,” he told Cuatro.
United begin their United States for their pre-season tour on July 18 and face Barcelona a week later.
