Raul Jimenez has spoken of his desire to stay and fight for his place at Atletico Madrid after being linked with a move away.
The Mexican striker struggled in his debut season at the Vicente Calderon and has subsequently attracted interest from the likes of Porto and Benfica, but he insists he is not looking to leave the club this summer.
“I’m very happy [at Atleti] and want to earn more minutes, but I’m sure that they will come in time,” he told La Verdad.
“At the moment, I know nothing about my future. I’m still an Atletico Madrid player but currently on holiday, so I hope to return and find out what my future holds.”
