Fenerbahce have confirmed their interest in signing out-of-favour Malaga goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The 29-year-old arrived at La Rosaleda last summer following an impressive 2014 World Cup campaign with Mexico but spent his debut season playing second fiddle to La Liga ever-present Carlos Kameni.
“We know he wants to leave, so we have our cards in hand. Let’s wait for the time and price to be right,” Fener sporting director Giuliano Terraneo was quoted as saying by Marca.
Fener are looking to rebuild their squad after another failed Super Lig campaign and have been linked with the likes of Nani and Robin van Persie.
Club America President Ricardo Pelaez also told a Mexican television station that the doors were “open” for the shot-stopper to join his club.
