Axel Witsel is said to be one of Valencia’s summer objectives with reports from Russia claiming Los Che are interested in the Belgium international.
Izvestia are said by Super Deporte to have reported Peter Lim is interested in the ex-Benfica player, who moved to Zenit St Petersburg in September 2012, costing some €40m.
He’s expected to leave Russia this summer as Zenit can no longer afford him and would be available for substantially less than his current club paid.
Zenit are attempting to adhere to Financial Fair Play and Witsel is one of their big earners, with Chelsea, Juventus and Milan also said to be interested.
Valencia, meanwhile, are said to be preparing a €20m approach for the 26-year-old.
