Porto want players for Martinez

Atletico Madrid and Porto have reached an agreement for Jackson Martinez but the selling club wants players included in the deal.

AS reports the names Miguel Angel Moya, Oliver Torres and Raul Jimenez have been floated and it appears Oliver, who spent last season with Porto, will be staying a little longer.

Moya’s name has been raised as Porto Coach Julen Lopetegui doesn’t trust any of the four goalkeepers he can already choose from.

Moya would be back-up to Jan Oblak for the coming season, AS note, after competing with the Slovenian in the previous campaign.

Jimenez, meanwhile, wants to stay in Spain so he can claim dual nationality but there is interest in him from both Benfica and Monaco. Monaco are said to have offered €17m for 80% of the striker’s rights.

Atletico are to pay the €35m release clause in Martinez’s contract, while the possible outgoing Atleti players will have to agree terms with Porto if any move goes ahead and the clubs will have to agree on their valuations.
