Juanmi has bid farewell to Malaga in an emotional post on social media after completing his €7m transfer to Southampton.
The striker left La Rosaleda earlier in the week in a whirlwind deal after the Saints agreed to meet his release clause, but he has assured his former fans that he will be back one day and continue to support the club.
“Time has passed so quickly these last few days, and I don’t want to leave Malaga without giving you the send-off you deserve,” he wrote on Instagram.
“Before I do that, I can only say that, wherever you are, I’ll always be one more Malaguista and that this isn’t goodbye but a ‘see you soon’.”
The 22-year-old is the third player to leave Malaga in the past week after Samu Castillejo and Samu Garcia, both of whom joined Villarreal on Thursday.
