Former Barcelona defender Eric Abidal is in talks with prospective President Joan Laporta about joining a campaign that already includes Carles Puyol.
AS reports Laporta reached out to Abidal in an effort to win support ahead of the election later this summer, and ex-Barca captain Puyol is already in Laporta’s camp.
So too is Barca icon Johan Cruyff, while Laporta is also working to get on side Albert Luque, the former Newcastle striker who began his career at Camp Nou.
