Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez has praised Barcelona forward Neymar as their respective countries meet at the Copa America.
James, representing Colombia and Neymar, the Brazil captain, meet in the early hours of Thursday [UK time] in the tournament in Chile, having also played at the World Cup in 2014, Neymar’s side coming out on top on that occasion.
“It will be a rematch, not revenge. It’s necessary to focus on having a good game. Neymar is in incredible form. They’ll all have to be good to beat us,” he said, Marca reports.
“We have to be together and have the same spirit we have always had in the hard times.
“It’s true I had a good season at Madrid but this is another game. I’m physically fine and I just want to help. I’m physically well and mentally even more so.
“I took a knock [against Venezuela] but it’s fine. I felt my shoulder but it’s nothing serious.”
