Enrique Cerezo has confirmed Atletico Madrid’s interest in Carlos Tevez but admits it will be “difficult” to pip Boca Juniors to the chase.
AS reported on Saturday that Los Colchoneros were competing with the Argentine outfit and Paris Saint-Germain for the €15m-rated Juventus striker, who has made no secret of his desire to end his career at La Bombonera.
“It’s difficult to compete with feelings if his heart belongs to Boca,” the President told Radio Uno.
“Regardless, he’s a player who interests us, like all the players who stand out as men and professionals.
Cerezo also reserved praise for Coach Diego Simeone, whom he rates higher than Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.
“He’s the best Coach in the world, above Guardiola and Mourinho,” he concluded.
