Zlatan Ibrahimovic has advised Martin Odegaard to leave his father’s control and grow up, but praised the Real Madrid starlet’s ability.
Former Barcelona forward Ibrahimovic came up against Odegaard in a friendly between Sweden and Norway on Monday night and was asked for his thoughts on the teenager.
“It’s hard to say. He has a father who controls him completely. First he needs to grow and be a man, and get rid of his father,” AS reports Ibra as saying, with a smile.
“He played well, played simply, and didn’t give the ball away. He has a lot of time to improve further. It’s good that he’s playing with the national team.
“Is Madrid the right club for him? We’ll see.”
