Valencia are considering Real Sociedad goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli as a replacement for injury-hit Diego Alves.
Rulli’s agent Facundo Fraga is quoted by Super Deporte as confirming the interest of Los Che, who need a new shot-stopper after Alves suffered a cruciate ligament injury in the last League game of the season.
Alves is expected to be out for a significant portion of 2015 and that has led to Valencia being linked with a number of alternatives.
Fraga is said to have revealed Rulli is among them while Super Deporte add that Roberto Ayala, part of the Valencia sporting department, is familiar with Rulli through former teammate Mauricio Pellegrino, who coached Rulli at Estudiantes.
Rulli has caught the eye during his spell at La Real but his agent added any decision on his future will be left to the player himself.
