Manchester City are serious in their interest in Sevilla Coach Unai Emery, who is being represented by Jorge Mendes.
AS report Mendes has been in contact with City’s Txiki Begiristain over Emery and the Premier League club are seriously considering dumping Manuel Pellegrini.
Jurgen Klopp would also be a contender for the vacancy but the two-time Europa League winner is rivalling the ex-Borussia Dortmund trainer.
City aren’t the only interested party either with Real Madrid said to be looking at Emery as an alternative to Rafa Benitez, although Benitez is still expected to replace Carlo Ancelotti.
There is interest from Italy as well and from both teams in Milan. The attention of the Rossoneri is well known but Inter are also in the frame, AS say, as doubts arise over Roberto Mancini.
Should they lose Emery, Sevilla will turn to one of Javi Gracia, Fran Escriba or Quique Sanchez Flores, AS believe, and it’s suggested Los Rojiblancos are already consigned to losing their current boss.
