Aleix Vidal admits he wants Unai Emery to remain on the Sevilla bench after the Coach claimed a second straight Europa League trophy.
Vidal played the full 90 minutes as Los Rojiblancos saw off Dnipro by the odd goal in five in a memorable final.
Emery has been linked with posts elsewhere – most strongly Milan – and Vidal, a new face in the Spain squad named this week, doesn’t know if the Coach will be in charge much longer.
“We wanted this trophy. I hope Emery stays but I’m not in control of that,” he said, AS reports.
“Our opponent came to the final and did things very well. They’re a great team but we have demonstrated that we are capable of taking a game forward.”
