Sevilla defender Coke believes the 2015 Europa League success means more than 2014’s as it was harder to win.
The right-back was a second half substitute as Los Rojiblancos retained the trophy with a 3-2 win over Dnipro and is now eagerly anticipating next year’s Champions League experience.
“The group was a little more complicated than last year and in the knockout rounds, from the Round of 16, there were a lot of rivals, so this year is a little more worthwhile,” Coke said, AS reports.
“Suffering comes from within Sevilla and especially in the Europa League. This team has a bit of magic in this competition but that can’t explain the goals of [Andres] Palop, [Stephane] Mbia…
“[The Europa League] is very nice but I’m sure the Champions League is much better.”
