Levante have confirmed the signing of former Sevilla right-back Coke on loan until the end of the season.
Coke returns to Spain barely a year after leaving Sevilla for Schalke, where he has made just two appearances all season.
The 30-year-old made 172 appearances for Los Nervionenses, winning three Europa Leagues, before moving to Germany.
However, his spell with Schalke quickly turned sour as he suffered knee ligament damage on the eve of the previous campaign.
Coke becomes Levante’s second signing since the summer after Villarreal loanee Enes Unal, although he will not be able to play for the Granotas until January.
The Valencians are five points clear of the relegation zone in La Liga after 16 games, although they have failed to win any of their last four.
