‘PSG want Xavi loan’

Paris Saint-Germain are plotting a loan move for Xavi Hernandez once the Barcelona icon leaves for Al-Sadd.

Xavi said goodbye to Camp Nou after his final League game, the 2-2 draw with Deportivo La Coruna, and is to move to the Qatari club this summer.

Le Parisien claims, however, that PSG want a similar deal to that which saw Frank Lampard spend this season on loan at Manchester City from New York City, and help them circumnavigate Financial Fair Play rules.

Al-Sadd are owned by the brother of Nasser Al-Khelaifi, SportYou notes, although Xavi has said publically that he would not want to play for another European team due to the risk of playing against Barca.
