David Moyes has admitted that Real Sociedad “must improve a lot for next season” following Saturday’s 4-2 win at Rayo Vallecano.
La Real recorded just their second away victory of the season on the final day, despite Los Vallecanos pulling the result back to 2-2 at one stage, and Scot warned his side’s form on the road could hinder their ability to challenge for Europe in the future.
“Against Rayo we played well and created chances, so I’m very happy,” he said after the game.
“I’m now looking forward to next season, but we must win more away games if we want to be competitive.
"Teams always finish where they deserve to. Looking at the table, we’re where we deserve and don’t deserve to finish higher.
“We know that we must improve a lot for next season.
“We have to win more away games. We beat a team who have had a good season and scored four goals against them, but we could’ve scored more.”
