Andres Iniesta spoke to the Barcelona crowd after the final League game of the season and congratulated the departing Xavi Hernandez.
Xavi made his last La Liga appearance for the Catalans, who were awarded the title after the 2-2 draw, playing most of the match before he was replaced by long-time teammate Iniesta.
Iniesta, as one of the team captains, took the microphone following the final whistle.
“Today is a special day for everyone,” he said, AS reports.
“But we want to celebrate the League and the Champions League. We want to return on June 7 to celebrate with you.
“And it is a special day because Xavi is a legend. We are privileged to say goodbye to him. Congratulations for everything and for many years of teaching.”
