Moyes: La Real in for Ings

David Moyes has made it clear that Real Sociedad “are in with a chance of signing” Burnley striker Danny Ings on a Bosman free transfer this summer.

The 23-year-old bid farewell to the Clarets in the match programme for Saturday’s goalless draw with Stoke City, and the Basques could take advantage of a minimal tribunal fee in comparison to their Premier League counterparts.

“I think we’re in with a chance of signing Ings. I can’t confirm whether or not he’ll come, but I’d like him to. I have three or four reinforcements in mind,” the Coach said at a Press conference for Sunday’s visit of Granada in La Liga.

“We have a very good base. La Real have a good philosophy and tradition. Now we have to build and improve on that base.

“[On reports linking Inigo Martinez with Liverpool], we’ve not had any contact [with Liverpool], it’s just speculation.

“I want to win the last two games because they’re important, although I understand that Granada have something to fight for. Still, I hope we play well in these two games.

“[On the absences of midfielders David Zurutuza, Esteban Granero and Ruben Pardo], we’ll have to make do without them.

“[Geronimo Rulli’s] game against Barcelona was exceptional but you have to play well every week in order to be a regular international, and when you’re young you sometimes make mistakes.”
