Carlo Ancelotti has hit back at recent comments made by Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett that ‘his teammates don’t pass him the ball’.
The Real Madrid boss, speaking at a Press conference prior to his side’s Champions League semi-final second leg encounter with Juventus at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, was adamant in his assessment of Barnett’s remarks.
“I think Bale has had a good season and he scored in the big games last year,” maintained the Italian.
“This year he has the same opportunity to do that. We’re happy with him. We live in a world where people talk too much and sometimes they get it wrong.
“Bale’s agent has never watched a training session and knows nothing about how he gets on with the rest of his teammates.
“Bale likes his teammates and they like him, so his agent would have been better off keeping quiet.
“I don’t really understand what he’s trying to say because Gareth is happy at Real Madrid.”
