Chelsea star rejects La Liga advances

Chelsea full-back Cesar Azpilicueta insists he will remain at the club this summer despite reported interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The 25-year-old, who has been at Stamford Bridge almost three years, began his career with Osasuna before joining Marseille in June 2010 and is adamant he has no plans to leave the Premier League.

“I don’t think about anything other than staying at Chelsea. I do not think about Spain. I'm in the best team in England, I do not think about playing elsewhere,” the Spain international told RMC.

"We have at Chelsea perhaps one of the future top players of the world in Eden Hazard. This year he had a great season and deserved to be the best player in the Premier League.

“There has been much criticism but we scored a lot of goals and are the second-best attacking team in the League.

“That means we have an offensive game but sometimes you have to know when to defend,” he affirmed.
