Zamparini: ‘Dybala is the new Messi’

Palermo President Mauricio Zamparini has described striker Paulo Dybala as the new Lionel Messi.

The 21-year-old is being chased by a host of top European clubs and was recently linked with a move to Barcelona.

However, Zamparini confirmed that talks have already started between the Serie A outfit and French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

“For me, Dybala is the new Messi, who today would cost around €200m. Messi is like a whole team and Dybala is also that type of footballer,” he commented in an interview with Telefoot.

“Will he be going to PSG? The player’s agents have already been in Paris to speak to the club but Dybala has some doubts about going there because they already have a lot of great players.

“I’m in contact with his representatives and PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, while I feel Dybala would be a good investment for the future.

“I want €40m for his transfer, although I’ve asked Nasser for €50m,” he admitted.
