Almeria boss Sergi Barjuan acknowledged that the most important thing was the win after his side beat Eibar 2-0 on Sunday.
The Andalusians moved out of the relegation zone thanks to goals from Thievy Bifouma and Verza as Sergi’s men claimed just their second victory in the last 11 games to move level on points with their opponents, who sit one place above them in 16th.
“From the outside you can believe it’s very easy to win football matches but it’s not always the case,” Sergi told a Press conference.
“The important thing today was to get the win and we played very well in both halves. However, after the opening 20 minutes I wasn’t happy because we lost possession of the ball and they were beating us to it.
“We corrected that and then were much more relaxed and assertive in all aspects of our play, although my players showed they were prepared to suffer right until the end.
“We have to maintain the hope of the supporters that came here because together we can take great steps towards the challenge that awaits us.
“If this team is capable of improving we can go on to have some great times,” he maintained.
