Zidane admits Hazard admiration

Zinedine Zidane has fuelled rumours of a Real Madrid move for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard this summer by admitting his admiration for the player.

Speaking to French publication Maxifoot, the Madrid reserve team boss said he even prefers the Belgian international to Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

“Obviously there is Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom are spectacular footballers, but I like Eden Hazard more,” commented the Frenchman.

“I like everything he does on the pitch. I like his behaviour, his decisiveness, and I love to see him progress each year.

“There is still room for further improvement though, yet if Chelsea are to win the Premier League this season Eden will have had a lot to do with it.”

However, Chelsea have already moved to secure the 24-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge by handing him a new five-and-a-half year contract.
