Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu expressed his delight with the season so far after the Champions League quarter-final win over Paris Saint-Germain.
Luis Suarez scored twice to add to Neymar’s opener as La Blaugrana claimed a significant advantage ahead of the return.
“I’ve congratulated Luis Enrique and the staff. It was a good game and a good result,” Bartomeu said, AS reports.
“The return leg is to come but we leave with a big smile on our face. They all played at a very high level, with intelligence and intensity.
“We have to be careful, because this is the Champions League.
“The work was done by everyone. The important thing is the team. Today a lot went right and this is the Champions League.
“I understand everyone wants to play and contribute. That’s good. Issues [such as Neymar’s reported unhappiness at being substituted] remain in the dressing room.
“We have a Coach who solves problems. The Coach is the leader, always, in this team and in any.
“We’re having a great season. We’re League leaders, in the Cup final and close to the semi-finals of the Champions League. It’s why everyone wants to contribute their grain of sand.”
