Luis Enrique insists “I’m only focused on the football” ahead of Barcelona’s encounter with Almeria in La Liga on Wednesday.
La Blaugrana enter the match at Camp Nou four points clear at the summit thanks to their 1-0 win at Celta Vigo last weekend, despite Real Madrid’s 9-1 thrashing of Granada.
“I don’t have to remember anything about [Barjuan] Sergi because he’s a friend,” the Coach said at a Press conference.
“I’m glad that he has this opportunity and I’m sure that he’ll take advantage of it, although I hope it starts on Thursday.
“[A dip in form] is just part of a season. I haven’t seen a team capable of continuously playing well for 38 games. It would also make football a very boring sport.
“[Where we are in the table] isn’t an unpleasant scenario. We’re in a privileged position because of where we are [in the table].
“I haven’t participated in any [meetings for next season] I’m only focused on the football, which is all that concerns us Catalans.
“I don’t care [about Real Madrid] because I can’t control them. I’m only thinking about earning more points than the second-placed team.”
