Brazil not on Cazorla’s mind

Santi Cazorla says Spain’s 5-1 defeat to Holland at last year’s World Cup will be far from his mind when the two sides clash in Amsterdam on Tuesday.

The Arsenal midfielder faced reporters ahead of the game and gave his views on the recent changes within the Spain team amid concerns about the side’s recent form.

“Holland are a great national team and we are expecting a really tough game. For us, every match is important whether it’s an official international or a friendly,” admitted Cazorla.

“The Dutch were superior to us when we met in the World Cup but this game will be different. We won’t be going out there thinking about what happened in Brazil.

“This squad is united and we believe in what we are doing. That’s all that matters to us. On a personal level just being able to represent Spain is the biggest thing for me. I give everything I have to defend this shirt.

“Maybe some important players have gone but those who have come in are all keen to do their best. But maybe we still need some more,” added Cazorla.
