Navas: You always want more…

Keylor Navas has cryptically suggested that “you always want more” in light of his struggles to replace Iker Casillas as Real Madrid No 1.

The goalkeeper completed Costa Rica's stalemate with Paraguay on Thursday, and he reflected on his situation at the Santiago Bernabeu after the match.

“I feel very calm, but obviously you always want more. I'm not a conformist or someone who surrenders easily,” the 28-year-old was quoted by Marca as saying to reporters.

“I know the situation isn't what I want, but that's where I have to show the best of me and become stronger. It's not the first time I've been in this situation.

“I know what path I must follow in order to achieve results, so I try to learn. I think for me, it's a privilege to be at Madrid and every day I try to show they signed me.

“I get on well with everyone, The group welcomed me with open arms since day one and gave me the confidence I needed to feel calm.”

Navas has made just eight competitive appearances for Madrid since arriving from Levante last summer.
