Barcelona are in the hunt for Inter midfielder Mateo Kovacic and could sign him once their transfer ban is over in January 2016.
The 21-year-old Croatian international is believed to have been on the Blaugrana radar for some time and a report in Tuttosport claims they are interested in bringing him to La Liga next season.
The newspaper maintains that Barca sporting director Ariedo Braida had dinner with Inter chief Piero Ausilio and asked to be kept informed of the youngster’s progress this year.
Kovacic joined the Serie A giants from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2013 for a reported €15m in total, with €11m paid immediately and €4m when and if Inter qualify for the Champions League.
