Spurs weigh up double Valencia deal

Tottenham Hotspur are considering a double swoop for Valencia pair Shkodran Mustafi and Sofiane Feghouli.

According to Metro, Spurs scouts have watched both players several times over recent weeks and were in attendance at last Friday’s game in Elche, which Valencia won 4-0.

Defender Mustafi was a member of Germany’s World Cup-winning squad last summer and arrived at Mestalla from Sampdoria for a reported €8m at the start of this season, while Algerian attacking midfielder Feghouli [pictured] joined from Grenoble in 2010.

Mustafi, who has previous experience in England having been with Everton for three years, although he made just one substitute appearance, is valued at around €12m and has a contract until 2016.

Feghouli, on the other hand, has an asking price of €10m and will become a free agent in June next year.

It is understood that Valencia want neither player to leave, yet may be willing to sell as they are set to go on a spending spree of their own this summer.
