Busquets in Clasico contention

Luis Enrique has confirmed that Sergio Busquets will be in the Barcelona squad for the Clasico against Real Madrid on Sunday.

The midfielder had been sidelined with an ankle injury since La Blaugrana’s Copa del Rey semi-final triumph over Villarreal on March 4 but successfully trained with his teammates on Saturday, despite not yet being given the all-clear by the club’s medical staff.

“[Sergio] Busquets is an option. He’s not at 100 percent, neither does he arrive in top condition, but he’s in the squad,” the Coach said in the second part of his Press conference.

“[Jeremy Mathieu’s] performance levels have been very high. He has the same right [to play] as any other player in the squad.

“What makes [Lionel Messi] different from everyone else is his ability to read the game and decide what he needs to do [before gets the ball], beyond his numbers.

“The players know the difficulty [of this match], but they have full confidence in what they do. They need all the seriousness it takes to tackle this match.

“[On Cristiano Ronaldo], anyone who plays in attack [on Sunday] can tip the game. They’re all top-drawer.

“All our forwards are top players, whom are capable of winning matches. Together, we’re stronger.”
