Andres Iniesta isn’t concerned about fatigue setting in at Barcelona, saying the prize of three trophies should be enough to keep players fresh.
Iniesta captained Barca as they beat Manchester City only days before playing Real Madrid in the second and final Clasico of the season.
Asked about both matches and the season as a whole, Iniesta welcomed the difficulty of competing on three fronts, with the Copa del Rey final to come too.
“Any opponent takes a lot out of you and even more in the Champions League,” he conceded, AS reports.
“All the details are very important. The important thing is to do things well and take small steps.
“Joe Hart kept his team in the tie. He was very good in many one-on-ones.
“Every game from now until the end of the season requires our utmost. When the last stretch comes the whole season arrives…but fatigue is on the back burner because you’re playing for a lot of wonderful things, and we’re alive in all competitions.
“I can’t imagine the Clasico will be any different. We’ve experienced the Clasico in every way.
“I don’t think Madrid are in bad form. It’s an important match against a direct rival for the League and we want to increase the gap.”
