Ronaldo eyeing USA swansong?

Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly plans to run his Real Madrid contract down and move to the United States in 2018.

According to Sports Illustrated, sources have told the publication that the forward intends to see out his playing career in the MLS once his deal with Madrid expires in three years’ time.

The former Manchester United star will have turned 33 by then and would likely arrive in North America on the back of representing Portugal at the 2018 World Cup.

It is also believed that Ronaldo, who recently became the all-time leading goalscorer in European competition, has already earmarked Miami, Los Angeles and New York as possible destinations.
