Atletico Madrid are set to end Stevan Jovetic’s Manchester City nightmare and are lining up an offer for the Montenegro international.
According to the Mirror, Atleti boss Diego Simeone is looking to bolster his attacking options in the summer and is ready to bid around €15m for the 25-year-old, who is unhappy at the Etihad Stadium after being axed from City’s Champions League squad.
The January arrival of Wilfried Bony from Swansea City has meant Jovetic slipping further down the pecking order and the Blues are set to offload him despite having to take a huge financial loss on the player.
Jovetic joined from Fiorentina for a reported €26m in July 2013 but has since disappointed and that has opened the door to a summer exit, although Juventus allegedly tried to sign him in the last transfer window but were knocked back.
Los Rojiblancos are not the only team keeping tabs on Jovetic, however, as both Inter and Liverpool are interested in securing his signature and have been monitoring his situation.
