Rafinha has claimed that Barcelona would not want to host Real Madrid at Camp Nou in the Copa del Rey final if the tides were turned.
Controversy has ensued over which venue will bear witness to the cup decider between the Catalans and Athletic Bilbao on May 30, with Los Blancos reluctant to permit use of the Santiago Bernabeu, reportedly due to the prospect of their arch-rivals lifting the trophy in the Spanish capital.
“We would like [to play the Copa del Rey final] at any stadium, the bigger the better,” the young midfielder said at a Press conference.
“If it’s in Barcelona then we’d play at home. It’s a final, so both teams would be equal.
“It’s normal [that Real Madrid don’t want to host the match]. I don’t think Barcelona would be amused at Real Madrid playing in their stadium.
“We’ve gone from less to more. There haven’t been any changes, things seem to get better with every match. We’ve become more comfortable and improved a lot.
“I strive [to make the Brazil squad] every day. It would be a dream to play for Brazil. I’m working hard to realise [this dream]. I’m not going to change, it’s all very clear [in my head].
“I remember getting the three points [at Osasuna] and the dressing room being very happy. I’ve never been involved in anything like [match-fixing]. It benefits no-one.
“It’s important to help the team and I’ve been given minutes to help [the team].
“I’m hungry to prove [that I’m worthy of winning] minutes. I’ve improved gradually, every time [I play], I gain more confidence.
“Nothing has been said [about my contract renewal yet], but I feel calm and well here. I’ve already said that.
“[Barca B] have entered negative dynamics. It’s a difficult time for them but I have trust in the players’ ability to get out [of their situation].
“I don’t play in the same position [as Sergio Busquets], but I can help no problem. It’s the same as if I’m played on the wing.”
