Adriano has revealed Lionel Messi provides motivation for his Barcelona teammates with his match-winning displays and hard work in training.
The full-back was speaking at a Press conference and praised Messi, and also looked ahead to the Catalans’ Champions League game against Manchester City next week.
“We enjoy Messi in training and in matches. The way he pushes the team is extra motivation for us,” Adriano said, according to AS.
“The Champions League will be very complicated. It’s a game that would be a worthy semi-final.
“We can’t think they’re going through a bad time and that we’re the best in Europe as some people say. It will be difficult. In a knock-out game there are no favourites.”
