‘La Real good enough to stay up’

David Moyes believes Real Sociedad have enough quality to survive in La Liga this season ahead of their trip to Almeria on Friday.

The Basques failed to make it two wins out of three last week after they fell to a late Celta Vigo equaliser, leaving the side just four points above the relegation places in 12th, but the Scot is remaining upbeat about their prospects.

“We can dispel our curse away from home, but we must exploit Almeria’s weaknesses,” the former Everton and Manchester United manager said at a Press conference.

“Almeria have fast players and other strengths, so we must concentrate on [marginalising] their best players in order to end their good form.

“The team are good enough to not be in their current situation. They’ve emitted good signals, but we must win so our position in the table doesn’t become more precarious.

"We’re now in a lowly position and it’s something we have to address. I’m not happy about it, but getting out of there should now be our priority.

“There’s no need to talk about [Carlos] Vela because as long as he’s injured, we can’t count on his services.

“I’m happy with [David] Zurutuza’s return. I hope he can recover his sharpness because I want to see him [play] more regularly.”
