Ariedo Braida and Charly Rexach are part of a newly-formed Barcelona commission tasked with planning for next season.
The Catalans confirmed the appointments in a statement on their official website after Braida and Rexach were seen watching Wednesday night’s Copa del Rey win over Villarreal.
They are joined in the technical commission by Vice-President Jordi Mestre and board member Javier Bordas.
Barca say the commission will be overseen by first team Coach Luis Enrique and academy director Jordi Roura.
“Joining Barca is fantastic. I am at the world’s biggest club,” Braida said.
“There is no other club like this in Europe. You can’t work at Barca if you don’t understand the culture of a big club. I can bring that with me. Charly and I will make a great team.”
Braida was for 17 years the sporting director at Milan, AS notes, and spent a season at Sampdoria after leaving the Rossoneri in 2013.
