Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Fenerbahce midfielder Alper Potuk, according to reports in Turkey.
The 23-year-old is regarded as one of his country’s most promising youngsters and speculation has arisen that Los Colchoneros are keen to expand their Turkish connection.
Atleti scouts have reportedly tracked Potuk for some time, to the extent that the club saw a €5m offer rejected in January, but they are expected to revisit their interest in the summer.
Potuk, a central midfielder by trade but capable of playing on either wing, is contracted to the Istanbul giants until 2018.
The Spanish champions currently have Arda Turan on their books and have also been linked with Bursaspor’s teenage right-back Ozan Tufan in recent times.
