The agent of Dani Alves has revealed that the Barcelona right-back is ready to leave the club after not being offered a new deal.
The 31-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, and Dinorah Santana believes La Blaugrana’s hesitance to enter talks with her client clearly suggests that he is not in their long-term plans.
“No-one’s contacted us. I understand the club don’t want Alves, therefore we’re looking for another club,” the representative told Cadena SER.
"It's rare to let a player [of his quality] leave for nothing. If, at this stage, no-one’s said anything, I understand it as [Barca] don’t want to renew Alves’ contract.”
