Gorka Iraizoz has signed a new contract with Athletic Bilbao, which will keep him at the club until 2016.
The goalkeeper's previous deal was due to expire in the summer, but Los Leones’ official website confirmed on Friday that their No 1 will stay for at least another season.
Iraizoz rejoined Athletic from Espanyol in 2007, having started his career at San Mames, and has gone on to rank third in the Basques' all-time goalkeeping appearance list.
He follows Aritz Aduriz and Mikel Balenziaga in extending his contract at Athletic, leaving only Andoni Iraola and Carlos Gurpegi as the side’s expiring personnel.
