David Moyes is hoping to bring Arsenal striker Joel Campbell to Anoeta during the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the Scot will be told on Wednesday whether his bid to sign the Costa Rica international on loan until the end of the season has been successful.

The Basques would like to take the 22-year-old until next May, although the Gunners would prefer he remains with a Premier League club to gain more experience. However, they may be willing to offload him permanently should they receive an offer of at least €10m,

Campbell has made just four League appearances for Arsene Wenger’s team this term and has attracted attention from a host of clubs.

Villarreal, Benfica, Inter Milan, Swansea City and West Bromwich Albion have all been linked with him recently and are waiting to see if Arsenal will allow him to leave the Emirates Stadium.
