Lucas Alcaraz is ‘fully convinced’ that Levante will avoid relegation from La Liga this season as he prepares to take his side to Elche on Sunday.
The Valencians have failed to win any of their last six matches in the League but face their regional rivals knowing that a win would pull them clear of the bottom three.
“We mustn’t be in the relegation zone in May, but obviously we’ll try to get as far away as possible in the meantime,” he mused at a Press conference.
“It’s also true that we must learn to be effective and take responsibility, whether we’re near or far away [from the bottom three], but we have the strength to do so.
“The players and coaching staff are prepared for this challenge. It’s one which won’t be easy, but we’re fully convinced that we’ll [avoid relegation].
“Yes, [the match against Elche is more important because theyre a direct rival].
“Obviously all games are important, but when you face teams from the same part of the table as yourselves, a win seems to be worth more because your opponents suffer as a result.
“We prepare for all games with the hope of winning them, that’s clear.”
