Bojan fires Luis Enrique broadside

Former Barcelona player Bojan Krkic has attacked Luis Enrique’s style of coaching and described him as “uncommunicative”.

The 24-year-old winger, now plying his trade in the Premier League with Stoke City, played under the Barca boss for the club’s B side and was reunited with him in Serie A for Roma during the 2011-12 season.

However, speaking to L’Esportiu, he hit out at the Asturian’s leadership whilst at the same time offering his backing to Lionel Messi, who has allegedly not seen eye-to-eye with Enrique this season.

“He is a very uncommunicative Coach who lacks understanding with the players,” maintained Bojan.

“He’s been a player and should know what it’s like to be in the dressing room, so will see at the end of the season whether his style has been successful or not.

“He has a clear idea, working with his coaching staff daily away from the players, and there is very little dialogue. Everyone has a different manner of coaching and that’s his.

“When I played with Messi things were going well so there were no problems or conflicts, although I don’t know if this has changed now.

“Every player requires a certain incentive to perform and Messi wants to feel important and be in good company.

“He has earned the opportunity to choose when to play and when not to, because he is the leader of the club on the pitch.”
