Real Madrid midfielder Isco has called on the club’s fans to help the team through next week’s Copa del Rey clash with Atletico Madrid.

Los Blancos suffered a 2-0 reverse in their last 16 clash at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night, but Isco believes the support of the Madrid faithful can help turn the tie in their favour.

“It’s true that this result has given us an uphill task but we are playing at the Santiago Bernabeu and can turn any result around, no matter who we are playing against,” he told reporters.

“It was a very bad result but there are still 90 minutes left and hopefully we can reverse things with the help of our fans.

“Atletico Madrid are dangerous at any dead-ball situation and they punished us in this game, so we’ll need to be more alive to them in the second leg.”
