Cesc Fabregas has noted similarities between the philosophies of Chelsea and Barcelona after sampling both in his career.
The Spain midfielder has enjoyed an impressive return to English football with the Blues this season, and he believes his current employers have a lot more in common with his previous club than meets the eye.
“Chelsea play a very similar game to Barcelona,” he stated to Goal.com.
“We want to take control of matches, have possession and try to score. Maybe we play with a different system [to Barca], but our philosophies are similar.
“What makes Mourinho such a good Coach is how he can adapt to any situation and make his teams play in different ways. It’s a very clever style of management.”
