Jese demands Madrid focus

Jese Rodriguez revealed Real Madrid’s ill-feeling after their 4-2 defeat to Milan but urged the team to realign their focus onto La Liga.

Los Blancos crashed to a first defeat and non-victory in 22 matches courtesy of their failings against the Rossoneri in Dubai on Tuesday, but the returning attacker is more concerned about how his side will fare against Valencia this weekend.

“I’m feeling better, but the important thing is the team, and we leave Dubai with a bad feeling because Madrid didn’t win,” he said after the game.

“We didn’t play well, but it’s only a friendly, and it’s important that we returned healthily. Now, we must proceed and revert to the League.

“I've recovered, so that’s why I'm playing again. I feel much better than I did two or three weeks ago.

“I spent six of the seven days during the holidays working with my physio. I need to pursue this treatment so I can continue toning my knee muscles.

“I’m facing 2015 in the same way as my colleagues, with the idea of going for every title we’re competing for.”
